There is really much more to say about the IBM Cognos announcements, but I wanted to point out that Cognos Go! Mobile can be used for location aware applications. Mobile technology and solutions is a big interest of mine, and I don't know of any other major BI vendors doing this at the moment. I may be wrong about that, so let me know if you know different.
Location Aware BI may be one of those things that sounds cooler than it is practical. I can imagine a sales guy walking in to meet his client. He checks his Blackberry for the latest sales figure for that client. Cognos, recognizing where he is, automatically displays that report without having to search or drill. Sweet!
